The morning AGM and general meeting will be followed by a See Judge Act inquiry to develop a CCA submission to the 2020 Plenary Council.

The venue is 20 metres east of Brunswick Street and No.11 tram, or parking on King William Street in front of the hall.

'Lay Movements as Structures of Grace’ Conference

The recent Cincinnati conference on Cardijn movements in the Americas , jointly organised by Bob Pennington and Stefan Gigacz, was a wonderful success appreciated by a contingent of Australians . Some of the papers will be published in the forthcoming edition of the ATF Press (Adelaide) new Cardijn Studies series. Videos of some of the talks will be uploaded on the conference site shortly: http://lay-movements-structures-grace.blogspot.com

Seaford Housing Action Coalition (SHAC)
SHAC has been invited by the Frankston City Council to submit a proposal for the development of a cabin park on a government owned site of 1.2 ha. The cabin park would be used to house rough sleepers and those on the minimum income of $267 per week. Mostly of these are currently living in rooming house and paying up to $210 pw for a single room with shared kitchen and toilets; sometimes a 3 bedroom house is converted to 8/10 bedrooms.

The July edition of Melbourne Catholic magazine carried an article on SHAC called ‘Sleepless in Seaford’: http://melbournecatholic.org.au/MC/2018/mc-201807/6/

A recently updated Cardijn parish inquiry on ‘Homelessness’ is attached.
